Born May 1, 1931 in Chicago, IL
grew up in Chicago’s Brighton Park neighborhood
to the late Joseph and Anna Zielak
He served U.S. Army during the Korean War
He was a life member of the DAV Chapter 70, Inverness, FL
A millwright for many years with Millwright Union Local #1693.
Mitch was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church in Naperville, IL
A 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Naperville Council #1369
He enjoyed making things and was known for his skills as a handyman.
Survived by his wife Margaret “Marge” (nee Nolan) Zielak,
whom he married June 5, 1954 of Naperville, IL
Daughters: JoAnn (Jeff) Lau of New York,
Mary Ellen (Peter) Schettek of Aurora, IL
Diane (Owen) Larson of Missouri
brother of Rosemary, George and the late Emily and Geraldine,
grandfather of Michael, Jaedyn, Christopher and Brayton
fond uncle of many
Services were held Friday, July 13, 2912 at 9:15 A.M.
10:00 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Raphael Church,
1215 Modaff Rd., Naperville, IL 60540
Interment: Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL.
