A native of Ellenton, FL., he was born Aug 25, 1918 to the late Whitt and Sadie (Reynolds) Myrick.

He served during WW II in the U.S. Army,
being discharged as a

He was in the invasion of Anzio Beach and injured in France,
He was awarded the
Bronze Star Purple Heart
Bronze Star and Purple Heart

Marion was a retired sales representative in the automobile parts business

Other affiliations included the Cove Bend Church of Christ and V.F.W. Post 7122, Floral City.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Effie (McCalvin) Myrick;
5 daughters: Christine Murray and her husband, Charles of Pinellas Park, FL,
Kathleen Williamson and husband, Mike of Floral City,
Shirley Campbell and husband, Billy, of Floral City,
Diane Waller and husband, Alan of Istachatta,
and Debbie Waller and husband Richard, of Floral City;
1 son: Richard "Pete" Story of Pennsylvania;
18 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.

Burial with military honors were held at New Hope Cemetery, Istachatta, Florida
