Born in Soperton GA, April 24, 1923 to the
late Forice and Lillie Ennis McCoy.
Lived in Johnson County, Georgia for the past 16 years,
prior to that he lived in Dunnellon, Florida
Served in United States Army during the Korean Conflict
and continued serving for 20 plus years
and had to retire from being wounded in combat while in service.
He was a life member of the DAV Chapter 70, Inverness, Florida
a member of the VFW #7991, Dunnellon, Florida
and the American Legion
a member of the Moose Lodge, Dunnellon, Florida
Preceded in death by his wife, Maude Pace McCoy;
companion, Katie Smith;

Lethra McCoy Parr
Ruby McCoy Gregson
Charlie, Elmer, Benny, Leonard McCoy and Gayland McCoy
Funeral services held at Brantley-Powell Funeral Home
555 West Court St, Wrightsville, GA,
on Saturday afternoon, November 1, 2014 at 2:00 P.M.
Intermit was at Westview Cemetery with full Military Honors.
Rev. Grady Mimbs officiating.
Survived by one sister, Lillian Pinion (Howard) of Wrightsville,
numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers served for Mr. McCoy service were the United States Army.
Visitation for Mr. McCoy was held at Brantley-Powell Funeral Home Friday night,
October 31, 2014 from 6 to 8 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be given to a charity of your choice.
Brantley-Powell Funeral Home of Wrightsville has charge of arrangements for Grady C. McCoy.
